Inclusion criteria: children, aged 1-10 years, scheduled for elective surgery under general anaesthesia

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: abnormal airways, prematurity, congenital heart disease, obesity (> 50% above ideal body weight), or those at risk for aspiration
