Interventions

Drug : inital dosage of bupropion and escitalopram are determined by the investigator's clinical decision. maximum initial dosage are 10mg of escitalopram, 150mg of bupropion.

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1)Aged 25~70 2)first language is korean 3)Diagnosed as major or minor depressive disorder by the DSM-IV criteria 4)MADRS>=9 5)With ability to complete various questionnaires 6)Can understand the objective of the study and sign informed consent

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1)Pregnancy or breastfeeding 2)Severe physical illnesses threatening life within 1 month 3)History of neuropsychiatric illnesses such as dementia, Parkinson's disease, alcoholism, and other substance dependence, mental retardation, leraning disorder 4)history of headtrauma, stroke 5)history of brain tumor, both primary or metastatic 6)atrial fibrillation, myocardial infarction within 1 month 7)Persistent clinically significant laboratory abnormalities :patient with high bleeding tendency like low platelet(1.4mg/dl 15)history of severe allergic or multiple drug adverse reaction 16)participation in other clinical reserach and then take other prescripted medication 17)depressive episode with psychotic features 18) high risk of suicide 19)previous bipolar disorder, family history of schizophrenia
