Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients will be enrolled into this study, if the following criteria was fulfilled 1. symptom of carpal tunnel syndrome A. pain of weist or hand B. tingling sensation or numbness C. weakness D. nocturnal aggravation of symptoms E. Tinel sign, phalen sign 2. confirmatory electrophysiologic results A. distal motor latency of median nerve > 4.0ms or B. distal sensory latency of median nerve > 3.4ms C. median-ulnar palmar sensory lstency difference > 0.5ms

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Exclusion criteria a. histroy of wrist surgery b. carpal tunnel syndrome caused by trauma c. neurologic disorder mimicing carpal tunnel synrome such as,cervical radiculopathy, polyneuropathy, proximal median neuropathy
