Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: patients aged 18 to 80 yr undergoing elective OPCAB under general anaesthesia

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: contraindications for lidocaine or opioid use, pulmonary or hepatic diseases, psychiatric disorders, recent (1.3 mg dl-1) before surgery, left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) <50%, and patients undergoing emergency or repeat operations, or concomitant valvular or aortic surgery.
