Interventions

To perform an ultrasonography using elastography and fusion techniques as a study after the normal transabdominal ultrasound for the patients with pancreas or liver diseases.

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: (1) Patients who have diseases in the pancreas or liver on contrast-enhanced CT scan or MRI and are planned to have transabdominal ultrasound. (2) Patients over 20 years old at the time of enrollment. (3) Preservation of main organ functions at the time of diagnosis. (4) Provision of written consent to participate in the study.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: (1) Uncontrollable infection including active tuberculosis (2) Serious adverse events (3) Severe mental disorder (4) Patients with ascites (4) Judgement as being ineligible by the principal or subinvestigator.

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
(1) To calculate the optimum condition (ROI size, analysis frame, artifact) to measure the shear wave elastography in the pancreas. (2) Accuracy of the fusion between CT/MRI and ultrasound in the pancreas

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
(1) Threshold between normal and abnormal and average value of the shear wave elastography in the pancreas (2) Time required for the registration of fusion between CT/MRI and ultrasound
