Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: All spine surgery cases over 18 years old Understand the research and obtain written consent

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Age < 18 yr Scoliosis, intramedullary tumors, ossification of the posterior longitudinal ligament Cases in which continuation of the study is considered difficult at the discretion of the primary department or anesthesiologist Patients considered unfit to participate in this study by the investigator or subinvestigator

The percentage of cases in which MEPs in trapezius muscle in cervical spine cases, deltoid muscle in thoracolumbar spine, and abductor digiti minimi muscle in thoracolumbar spine did not decrease by 70% or more in the control MEP amplitude and the operation was started under desflurane anesthesia and the operation was completed

Anesthesia-related items included differences in MEP derivation, amplitude, and latency for each muscle, time from the end of surgery to extubation, from the supine position to extubation, and from the end of surgery to leaving the operating room, drug costs during this period, the incidence of postoperative paralysis, and the proportion of cases showing MEP recovery after resumption of propofol.
