Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Patients who meet all of the following criteria (1)Patients whose written consent has been obtained by the individual. (2)Patients with sensorineural hearing loss in at least one ear, with an average of at least 25 dB and less than 70 dB at the four frequencies of 500 Hz,1000 Hz, 2000 Hz,and 4000 Hz on pure tone audiometry. (2)Mild to moderate range of hearing loss (between 25 dB and 70 dB) as defined by the quartiles (0.5,1,2,and 4 kHz) of pure tone audiometry. (3)Audiometric testing of speech sounds with best speech intelligibility greater than or equal to 50% in both ears. (4)Females and Male, 18 years of age or older at the time consent is obtained.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: (1)Patients with perforated eardrum. (2)Patients with congenital hearing loss. (3)Patients with cognitive impairment or psychiatric disorders that may interfere with the examination upon interview. (4)Other patients deemed by the principal/assistant investigator to be excluded due to safety concerns or other reasons.
