Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1) Patients over 65 years old with edentulous jaws who are attending Showa Medical University Dental Hospital for denture maintenance. 2) Those who have complete dentures made by the conventional method at Showa Medical University Dental Hospital. 3) Those who are able to visit the hospital on a regular basis. 4) Patients who have been fully informed about their participation in this study, and who have given written consent of their own free will based on a thorough understanding of the study.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1)Persons who have difficulty in examining oral hypofunction due to illness or general condition, such as difficulty in communication. 2)Those who have problems with oral function and eating due to poor condition of upper and lower complete dentures. 3)Those with jaw bone defects, those using jaw dentures. 4)Those with extremely poor intermaxillary relationship and mandibular position of upper and lower jaws. 5)Those who score less than 20 points in the Japan Prosthodontic Society classification of symptoms to determine the degree of difficulty. 6)Persons with a history of hypersensitivity such as rash or dermatitis to methacrylic acid monomers.

Questionnaire on food intake (number of foods available for consumption,food intake status,appetite). Questionnaire on oral-related quality of life (OHIP-14J). Number of denture adjustments. Denture morphology evaluation.
