Astragalus Root powder (0.07g/kg/day) given orally 2 times daily from 3 months to 15 months after registration

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1) Chronic kidney disease (CKD) 2) eGFR: 15-60mL/min/1.73m2 (stage3 or 4) 3) Age: = or >20 years old 4) Male and female 5) Outpatient of Kampo medicine clinic or general medicine clinic at Tokai university hospital, or clinic of Shonan hospital 6) No major changes in medication 7) Written informed consent

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1) Improper dosing 2) Allergies to Kampo medicine 3) Pregnant
