Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Have a MMSE score at screening between 17 and 26 inclusive. Probable Alzheimers disease based on the NINCDS/ADRDA. Dementia of the Alzheimers type on DSM-IV criteria.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Meet the exclusion criteria of MRI at screening. Bipolar disorder, schizophrenia or any serious psychiatric condition.
