Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients with essential hypertension who meet one of the following criteria a) Patients who are taking antihypertensive drugs b) Patients who are not taking any antihypertensive drugs and whose seated systolic blood pressure (SBP) is >=160 mmHg or whose diastolic blood pressure (DBP) is >=100 mmHg

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients with renal, hepatic or heart desease
