Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: patients age between 18 and 89 years old, pre-event modified Rankin Scale score 0-2, saccular aneurysm, normal size aneurysm, and ruptured saccular single aneurysm and patients treated via surgical clipping or endovascular coiling within 3 days after onset.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: patients with dissecting aneurysms, infectious or traumatic pseudo-aneurysms, giant aneurysms, or aneurysms of an unknown or unrecorded origin; patients with missing data for any of the analyzed variables; patients who only received cerebrospinal fluid drainage, conservative management, wrapping, trap and bypass surgery for unusual aneurysms, or proximal parent artery occlusion; patients with a pre-event modified Rankin Scale score 2-5 and patients who were not treated within 3 days after onset.
