Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients aged 65 years or older undergoing esophageal cancer surgery at our hospital who have given written consent for this study

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients undergoing concurrent surgery with other surgeries 2. Patients with coexisting neuromuscular disorders 3. Patients in whom a transverse view of the psoas major muscle was not obtained on a preoperative CT scan, which is necessary for treatment
