Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1) Patients who demonstrate hilar and/or mediastinal lymphadenopathy on chest CT and are clinically and radiologically suspected of having stage I or II sarcoidosis. 2) Patients in whom EBUS-TBNA and EBUS-IFB are planned for the purpose of obtaining a histological diagnosis for the condition described in (1). 3) Patients aged 20 years or older. 4) Patients who have provided written informed consent to participate in this study.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1) Patients in whom a histological diagnosis can be obtained from other organs using minimally invasive methods such as percutaneous biopsy. 2) Patients who are clinically suspected of having malignant disease or tuberculous lymphadenitis, or in whom such conditions are suggested by other examinations. 3) Patients with poorly controlled comorbidities (e.g., unstable angina, recent acute myocardial infarction, severe bronchial asthma, active pulmonary infection, heart failure, bleeding tendency), or those with psychiatric disorders/psychiatric symptoms or dementia that interfere with daily living. 4) Patients deemed inappropriate for inclusion by the attending physician for any other reason.
