Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Standby surgical patients between 10 and 18 years of age scheduled for induction of anesthesia with intravenous propofol and for whom no premedication has been prescribed.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Peripheral venous tracts placed from the ward are placed outside the forearm, patients who cannot use propofol (e.g., lecithin allergy), patients with an American Society of Anesthesiologists Physical Score (ASA-PS) of 3 or higher (patients with complications that make daily living difficult), patients with cold urticaria, patients with cold urticaria for any reason and their family members refuse

Median analgesia score (physical and verbal), incidence of vascular pain and incidence of severe vascular pain

Blood pressure (systolic, diastolic, mean) and pulse rate up to the start of propofol administration (baseline) and immediately after sleep
