Sex/Gender
Female

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Female patients who undergo primary unilateral total hip arthroplasty for hip osteoarthritis Age between 50 and 75 years Ability to understand the study procedures and provide written informed consent Ability to participate in postoperative rehabilitation

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients undergoing revision total hip arthroplasty or simultaneous bilateral total hip arthroplasty Patients with neurological disorders that substantially affect walking ability Patients who are unable to participate in assessments or intervention because of severe cognitive impairment Patients who are unable to perform exercise therapy because of severe cardiopulmonary disease, postoperative complications, worsening pain, or other medical conditions Patients judged by the principal investigator or attending physician to be unsuitable for participation

Timed Up and Go test, 10-m walking speed, Japanese Orthopaedic Association Hip-Disease Evaluation Questionnaire, Japanese Orthopaedic Association hip score, pain assessed using a visual analog scale, hip range of motion, hip muscle strength, trunk muscle strength, single-leg standing time, exercise adherence rate, patient questionnaire on trunk muscle training, and adverse events at 1, 2, and 3 months after surgery.
