Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus: Patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus, aged 20 to under 80 years (both male and female), who are hospitalized for blood glucose control, scheduled for retinal surgery, or for diabetes education purposes from the date of approval to March 31, 2026. Subjects must provide written consent to participate in this study. Healthy Subjects: Healthy individuals, aged 40 to under 80 years (both male and female), without specific chronic diseases and without any impediments to daily life, who have undergone or are scheduled to undergo a blood test for Hemoglobin A1c (HbA1c: 4-6% range) within the past 2 months or within the next 2 months from the date of the orthostatic test for this study. Subjects must provide written consent to participate in this study.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Medications being taken (drugs affecting the autonomic nervous system, tranquilizers, psychostimulants, levodopa and other drugs for the treatment of Parkinson's disease, antihypertensive drugs, vasodilators, etc.) Persons deemed inappropriate as research subjects by the principal investigator
