Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1) Male and female patients aged 18 years or older. 2) Patients scheduled to undergo craniotomy for resection of an intra-axial brain tumor suspected to be malignant glioma. 3) Patients in whom preoperative MRI, tractography, or other imaging studies indicate that the tumor is located within or in close proximity to the primary motor cortex and/or the corticospinal tract. 4) Patients with a general condition adequate to allow intraoperative neurophysiological monitoring, including motor evoked potential (MEP) monitoring. 5) Patients undergoing surgery in the supine position. 6) Patients who have provided written informed consent, either by the patient themselves or by a legally authorized representative, after receiving a full explanation of the study and demonstrating sufficient understanding, based on their own free will.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1) Participants who are deemed unable to undergo general anesthesia and/or intraoperative neurophysiological monitoring due to severe comorbidities (cardiac disease, hepatic failure, renal failure and so on). 2) Participants with neurological disorders that make intraoperative MEP recording difficult or unreliable. 3) Participants with muscle strength of 3 or lower on the Manual Muscle Test (MMT) in the upper and/or lower extremities. 4) Participants who are pregnant or for whom pregnancy cannot be ruled out. 5) Participants with implanted medical devices that may be affected by electrical stimulation (for example pacemakers). 6) Participants deemed inappropriate for participation in this study by the principal investigator or (sub)investigators.
