Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Patients with severe obesity, as defined by the 2024 Comprehensive Treatment Guidelines for Obesity Disease for Bariatric Metabolic Surgery by the Japanese Society for Treatment of Obesity.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Cases with poorly controlled psychiatric disorders despite pharmacological treatment Cases of secondary obesity due to endocrine diseases in which appropriate treatment has not been initiated Cases deemed unlikely to benefit from bariatric surgery Patients with severe cardiac dysfunction Patients with severe hepatic dysfunction Pregnant patients or those who may be pregnant Patients judged by the principal investigator to be inappropriate for inclusion in the study for any other reason Patients who do not provide consent to participate in the study

| The occurrence of postoperative complications (adverse events) will be assessed.
