Inclusion criteria: Patients with first stroke admitted to Shizuoka General Hospital

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Pacemaker users Patients with blood clots in the lower extremities History of stroke Contraindication to electrical stimulation at the discretion of the attending physician

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Muscle thickness and luminosity of bilateral quadriceps, triceps, and tibialis anterior muscles by ultrasound echocardiography and muscle size

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Age,height, weight, gender, modified Rankin Scale (mRS) before onset, National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) at onset, Brunnstrom stage of lower limbs, and ADL assessment (Barthel Index)
