Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Patients aged between 40 and 65 years, regardless of gender. Diagnosed with lung cancer and informed by their physician that curative surgery is not indicated. Undergoing pharmacological treatment as the primary therapy. Patients expected to be experiencing psychological distress related to living with lung cancer: Patients perceived by nurses as suffering and difficult to engage. Patients discussed in conferences as needing support but are difficult to approach. No restriction on time since diagnosis. In sufficiently stable physical and mental condition to participate in three interviews over approximately two months. Approved by their attending physician to participate in the study. Provided written informed consent after receiving sufficient explanation and understanding the study purpose. Agreed to audio recording or note-taking during interviews. In cases where the researcher may be known to the participant as a practicing nurse, an explanation was provided to confirm no conflict of interest, and consent was obtained.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Patients who do not consent to participating in this study. Patients who are unable to participate in the study for approximately two months, with three interviews of 45-60 minutes each. Patients whose attending physicians have determined that they are unable to participate in the study. Patients who are hospitalized and receiving treatment in the department to which the researcher belongs at the time the study begins. Patients who are significantly disturbed by recalling and looking back on the past, and who may have a disruption in their daily lives. Patients who do not consent to recording or taking notes of the conversation during the interview. Patients who are otherwise deemed inappropriate by the research director or researcher.
