Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: All of the following conditions must be met: i) The injured or ill person is in Ibaraki Prefecture and an emergency call has been made. ii) The person is in cardiac arrest upon arrival of the ambulance crew at the scene. iii) The person is 18 years of age or older.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: When there is no one on site who can make decisions regarding how to respond to a patient's sudden change in condition.
