Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients under 7 years of age undergoing general anesthesia

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients with tracheostomy (2) Patients who were scheduled to be intubated postoperatively (iii) Patients who could not give consent to participate in the study

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Respiratory complications that occur after extubation (specifically, the following 5 items) (i) SpO2 less than 93% for more than 30 seconds (ii) Cough: Severe or cough lasting more than 10 seconds (iii) Upper airway obstruction: snoring breaths or partial airway obstruction requiring respiratory effort (iv) Laryngospasm: complete closure with rigidity of chest wall (v) Bronchospasm: increased respiratory effort during expiration and wheezing on auscultation

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
(i) Minimum SpO2 value after extubation of intervention performed for the above complications that occurred after extubation (ii) Any adverse events other than respiratory complications (iii) Vital signs at the time of discharge (iv) Time to extubation and time to discharge
