The intervention group will receive 3 units of the usual physical therapy interventions (joint range of motion exercises, muscle strengthening exercises, basic movement exercises, and gait exercises)

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Fifty patients with severe hemiplegia due to acute stroke were selected for the study. Selection criteria were initial FIM motor score of 38 or less, and patients who were practicing gait using KAFO in the rehabilitation setting.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Exclusion criteria were serious orthopedic lower limb disease, bilateral lesions, unstable general condition with difficulty in standing and walking, parkinsonism, subarachnoid hemorrhage, and subdural hematoma.
