Design outcomes
Primary
| Measure | Time frame |
|---|---|
| Comparison of inflammatory cytokine levels (IL-6, IL-8, TNF-alfa, IL-10) between residual cardiopulmonary bypass circuit blood and cell saver processed blood | — |
Secondary
| Measure | Time frame |
|---|---|
| Changes in red blood cell count, white blood cell count, and hemoglobin concentration before and after cell saver processing Changes in complement factors C3 and C5a concentrations Correlation between cytokine reduction rates and clinical parameters (e.g., cardiopulmonary bypass time) Associations with perioperative variables such as patient background, bleeding volume, transfusion volume, and anesthetic drug usage | — |
