Design outcomes
Primary
| Measure | Time frame |
|---|---|
| Motor evoked potentials (MEP) of the tibialis anterior muscle will be measured using transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) at rest, during the VMI condition, and during the VTS-VMI condition. The stimulation intensity will be set at 120% of the resting motor threshold, and peak-to-peak MEP amplitudes will be calculated as an index of corticospinal excitability. | — |
Secondary
| Measure | Time frame |
|---|---|
| The degree of kinesthetic illusion, sense of body ownership, and sense of agency will be assessed using a 7-point Likert scale from 1 ("strongly disagree") to 7("strongly agree"). | — |
