Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: aged between 18 and 25 years hemoglobin levels less than 12 g/dL to give informed consent

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Those who were already taking iron and vitamin supplements that may affect hemoglobin levels and those with chronic health conditions such as childrenney problems, heart problems, and blood problems were excluded. Also excluded were those with severe anemia requiring urgent clinical care. Pregnant and lactating women were also excluded because they are expected to have physiological factors affecting iron levels
