Conditions

Healthy individuals aged 40 to 60, with jobs that involve a lot of desk work and a lack of exercise, are residents of Moroyama Town, Saitama Prefecture.

Interventions

Six months of walking and strength training, 5,000 steps and climbing 10 steps of stairs per day.

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Healthy people whose jobs involve desk work and who don't get enough exercise

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: People with bone and joint diseases or heart conditions that limit their exercise.

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Over a six-month training period, changes in lower limb muscle strength, agility, endurance, cognitive ability, and blood tests for diabetes and hyperlipidemia will be assessed.
