Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Adults (aged 40 or older) who have been examined by the Department of Urology at Yamagata University Hospital and are scheduled to undergo curative surgery for renal cancer Individuals who have received a written explanation of the study's purpose and content and have provided informed consent of their own free will Individuals who can undergo an oral function test and evaluation using a urinary symptom score Individuals who can provide a saliva sample (approximately 3 mL collected via the natural spitting method)
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Individuals who have difficulty completing the questionnaire due to cognitive impairment or other reasons Individuals whose attending physician has determined that participation in the study is inappropriate due to a severe systemic disease (e.g., acute inflammation, advanced cancer) Individuals already receiving medical or surgical treatment for benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) or overactive bladder (OAB) Individuals who have withdrawn their consent to participate in the study Individuals with renal cancer classified as T3b or higher, or with metastases
