Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Postmenopausal group inclusion criteria -Age: 50-65 years -BMI: 18.5-30 kg/m2 -At least 12 months have passed since the final menstrual period -No hormone replacement therapy within the past 6 months Premenopausal group inclusion criteria -Age: 20-35 years -BMI: 18.5-30 kg/m2 -Regular menstrual cycles (25-35 days, with variation within plus or minus 3 days) -No hormonal medications within the past 3 months

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Exclusion criteria (common to both groups) -No history of heat illness -Regular use of medications that affect thermoregulation -History of major cardiovascular, respiratory, or metabolic diseases, including hypertension with systolic blood pressure >140 mmHg -Presence of skin disorders or sweating dysfunction. -Inability to provide informed consent

MeasureTime frame
Changes in rectal temperature, changes in heart rate, changes in skin temperature and mean skin temperature, onset time and rate of local sweating, and whole-body sweat loss

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Body composition (height, weight, body fat percentage), hydration status (fluid intake, whole-body sweat loss), serum hormone levels, maximal oxygen uptake, sweat gland count, thermal sensation, rating of perceived exertion, and test duration
