Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Data of Publishment: 1980-2025 Article Type: Reviews; Trials (clinical + RCT); Meta Analyses; Observational studies; Animal Studies Concept of Paper: The function and effects of fatty acids on postoperative acute behavioural or cognitive changes Population (if required): 65<= years old; Surgery patients Data type (if required): Quantitative Language: English Only Publication Type: Peer-reviewed journal articles only

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Studies that focus on chronic neurological conditions rather than acute postoperative behavioral or cognitive changes. Studies that are irrelevant to the concept of fatty acids functions or effects on postoperative acute behavioral or cognitive changes. Studies that involve direct surgical procedures on the central nervous system. Animal studies that include only young animals (mice < 16 months; rats < 18 months). Review articles that do not contain original data.
