Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Stage III/IV periodontitis patients have at least 3 teeth with 6 mm PD or more
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. smokers 2. having received antibiotic therapy and/or subgingival periodontal therapy in the previous 12 weeks 3. uncontrolled diabetes 4. presence of acute symptoms 5. taking medication affecting the periodontal condition (ex, phenytoin, nifedipine, or cyclosporine A) 6. pregnancy or breastfeeding 7. patients with pacemakers 8. patients with acatalasemia
