Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Children under 16 years of age undergoing upper gastrointestinal endoscopy as a standalone procedure

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Children with severe motor and intellectual disabilities, chronic respiratory diseases, or cardiac diseases

MeasureTime frame
Outcome measures included transcutaneous CO2 (pCO2, mmHg) measured using the TOSCA (transcutaneous blood gas monitoring system), abdominal circumference before and after the procedure, and post-procedural pain assessed using the FLACC pain scale.
