Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1) Patients who underwent cholecystectomy between January 2019 and March 2025, who met the preoperative diagnostic criteria for acute cholangitis or acute cholecystitis (Acute Cholangitis/Acute Cholecystitis Clinical Practice Guidelines 2018) and had a history of biliary drainage. 2) Patients aged 18 years or older at the time of cholecystectomy. 3) Pathological slides of the gallbladder stump and the gallbladder body (or fundus) after cholecystectomy are available for viewing. 4) The treatment method for acute cholangitis or acute cholecystitis, the specifications of the drainage tube or drainage stent, and the dates of placement and removal can be confirmed in the medical records or reports.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1) Patients with biliary tract cancer or malignant biliary stricture
