Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Since the Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at either the Jikei University Hospital or Kashiwa Hospital performs fibula flap reconstruction on approximately 4 to 6 patients with midface defects per year, and the case registration period is 17 years, the target number of cases was set at 70. Selection criteria were those who had undergone head and neck reconstructive surgery to reconstruct the midfacial region and were at least 18 years old.
