Inclusion criteria: Combined keywords (COVID), (polyphenol or flavonoids), (vitamin D), (gut microbiota) were searched on PubMed.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Articles other than Randomised Clinical Trials (RCTs) were excluded.
