Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: A systematic literature search is performed through scientific and clinical trial registries databases. The selection criteria are as follows. P-Participant: Adults whose fasting blood sugar level is within normal to edge range (excluding those under 18, pregnant women, and lactating women, who were not suffering from any diseases). I-Intervention: Intake of foods (capsules, tablets, drinks, foods) containing salacinol. C-Control: Intake of a placebo that does not contain salacinol. O-Outcome: Suppressive effect on postprandial sugar absorption (Postprandial blood sugar value, blood sugar area under the curve (AUC) and blood insulin area under the curve (AUC))

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Studies which do not meet the key inclusion criteria will be excluded. Intervention studies without a placebo intake group are excluded.
