Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: [Community nurses] A nationally certified public health nurse, midwife, or nurse who is in charge of newborn home-visits in a municipality in Okinawa Prefecture. [Newborns and infants] (1) Those who visit obstetricians or pediatricians in Okinawa prefecture. (2) Those who do not have any medical conditions that require treatment. The age of the child should be up to approximately 4 months old.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Those who do not meet the above inclusion criteria. Those who do not wish to participate in this study.

Success rate of standard planes (standardized ultrasound images to determine DDH) imaging for newborns and infants

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
1) E-learning: Knowledge and skills (anatomy of the hip joint, image reading, ultrasound examinations and procedures, and health guidance for prevention) 2) Practical skills training: Technical proficiency, success rate of imaging, time required for imaging, operation of ultrasound equipment (videos during operation of ultrasound devices during training) 3) Trial study: Time required for imaging, degree of agreement between the assessment by community nurses and the physician's diagnosis (inter-rater reliability), results of manual assessment and ultrasonography assessment.
