Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Cerebral infarction or hemorrhage, modified rankin scale (mRS) of 2 or lower, Functional Independence Measure version 3.0 (FIM) gait item of 4 or less at 30 days of onset, no severe impairment in communication, memory, or comprehension

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Subarachnoid hemorrhage, bilateral hemiplegia, transfer or death during hospitalization, inability to complete outcome or predictor assessments, admission more than 37 days after onset, missing data.
