Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: We retrospectively analyzed consecutive patients with persistent AF who were referred to Toyama Prefectural Central Hospital in Japan between May 2018 and April 2020 for their first ablation procedure.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: We excluded patients with a cardiac-implanted electronic device (CIED) at baseline.
