Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1.Outpatients with type 2 diabetes 2.Aged >=20 years 3.Patients who conducted a food intake frequency survey 4.Patients with serum uric acid level of 7.0mg/dL or more before barley intake

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.Patients in the study is judged by the investigator or sub-investigator as inappropriate for any other reason
