Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1) Physically healthy no contraindication to Physical Activity Readiness Questionnaire (PAR-Q) 2) Men over age of 50 or women after six-months of menopause at the point of recruitment 3) Regular badminton-playing experience (at least once a week with no less than 30 minutes of weekly playing time 4) Free from injury 5) No reported history of or present metabolic, cardiovascular or pulmonary diseases including cardiovascular diseases, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, diabetes mellitus and chronic renal failure 6) Female participants free of taking hormone replacement therapy for at least one year prior to the data collection
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1) Smokers. 2) Individuals with a history of regularly engaging in other types of sports (at least once a week). 3) Female participants which yet to reach postmenstrual phase. 4) Female participants taking hormone replacement therapy. 5) Consume dietary supplements (excluding macronutrients) or medications within the past 4 weeks prior to investigation 6) Actively on suppositories including over-the-counter pharmaceutical substances. 7) Recipients of blood transfusion within 30 days prior to screening. 8) Receivers of any investigational research agent.
