| The anthropometric parameters for cleft lip are lip height (vertical length) and lip lateral diameter (horizontal length), which are involved in cleft lip surgery. Regarding the difference between the non cleft side and the cleft side of these parameters, the distribution is examined. Furthermore, we clearfy the factors related to the discrepancy between the non cleft side and the cleft side using logistic analysis on such factors like the age at the time of surgery, gender, the cleft type, and the laterality of the cleft. Then we compare the obtained statistical trends with the previously reported trends in Caucasians and propose appropriate cleft lip surgery procedures for Japanese. | — |
