Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Patients with type 2 diabetes who were prescribed glucose-lowering drugs on an outpatient basis during the enrollment period (April 2017 - February 2020) 2. Patients who had been consecutively registered in the DeSC database for at least 1 year before the index month (the month when outpatient prescription of glucose-lowering drugs was started during the enrollment period) 3. Patients over the age of 18 in the index month
