Inclusion criteria: Scheduled surgery Oral endotracheal intubation Ability to read and understand Japanese

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Emergence surgery Rapid sequence induction Use of succinylcholine Surgery in the mouth or the throat area Thyroidectomy Patients who present throat symptoms
