Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: All consecutive children twelve years of age or younger, who presented with diabetic ketoacidosis defined as Hyperglycemia, Acidosis, Ketonemia or ketonuria will be enrolled

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Symptomatic cerebral edema
