Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients who meet the following 1)2) registration criteria: 1) Patients with at least one of the following: history of cardiovascular disease*1, cardiovascular risk factors*2, or autonomic neuropathy*3 2) Age 20 years or older *1: Cerebrovascular disease (cerebral infarction, cerebral embolism, cerebral hemorrhage, subarachnoid hemorrhage), myocardial infarction, angina pectoris, aortic dissection, peripheral arterial disease, heart failure *2: Diabetes, hyperlipidemia, hypertension (hypertension under treatment or office blood pressure of 130/80 mmHg or higher), chronic kidney disease (CKD), atrial fibrillation, sleep apnea syndrome, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, hyperuricemia, obesity, current smoking *3: Parkinson's disease, dementia with Lewy bodies, cerebrovascular dementia

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients who meet any of the following exclusion criteria: 1) Patients with a history of cerebrovascular disease (excluding asymptomatic or transient) within 6 months before enrollment 2) Patients with chronic renal failure undergoing hemodialysis 3) Patients undergoing treatment for other serious diseases (cancer, collagen disease, etc.) 4) Patients who are judged by the attending physician to be unsuitable for the ABPM test.

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Relationship between the averages of 24hr-ambulatory blood pressure measured by ABPM and the onset of major cardiovascular events. Major cardiovascular events: total death, cardiovascular death, sudden death, ischemic heart disease (acute myocardial infarction, angina pectoris), cerebral hemorrhage, subarachnoid hemorrhage), aortic dissection, and hospitalization on by heart failure.

MeasureTime frame
1) Relationship between the averages of 24-hr blood pressure measured by ABPM and the onset of the following disease: New onset of atrial fibrillation, peripheral arterial disease, deterioration of renal function (including initiation of chronic dialysis), diabetes mellitus, or onset of a gout attack. 2) Relationship between the mean value of 24-hr blood pressure, blood variability, or other risk factors and the onset of the major cardiovascular events. 3) Relationship between each waveform of 24-hr blood pressure and the environment (cf. temperature) or lifestyle (cf. activity) factors.
