Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1,018 participants aged 65 years and above who had undergone health checkup at Nihon University hospital between January 2019 and December 2019.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Participants with previously recognized DM, defined as those who received anti-diabetic agents or who were with prior diagnosis of DM. Participants in whom plasma glucose, glycated hemoglobin (HbA1c) and immunoreactive insulin level (IRI) were not measured.
