Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Subjects included in this study must fulfill the following criteria: (1) Patients who have undergone placement of intracranial electrodes, as per their medical necessity, for pre-operative evaluation of epilepsy or brain tumor,(2) regardless of their gender. (3) Patients who gave consent to participate. Written consent will be obtained from the patients themselves for those who are 20 years and above, capable of making informed and rational judgement. Written consent will be obtained from the their representative (for example parents or guardian) for those who are below 20 years or lack the capability to make informed and rational judgement.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Subjects who fulfill any of the following criteria will be excluded from this study. 1) Individuals with severe intellectual disability in whom proper communication is not possible and thus unable to stay still during the acquisition of MRI. 2) Individuals who are unable to cooperate and unable to stay still during the acquisition of MRI (for example some patients below 17 years). 3) Individuals who are contraindicated for MRI (those implanted with pacemaker or artificial cardiac valve, and those who are claustrophobic). 4) Individuals considered incompetent to participate in this study, by the attending physician.
