Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: The conditions were as follows: (1) Japanese first-time expectant father; (2) singleton pregnancy; (3) normal course of pregnancy and the fetus; (4) no health issues that interfere with daily lives of the expectant father; (5) living together; (6) fluency in the Japanese language for communication.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: subjects were excluded if: (1) subjects requested to withdraw; (2) subjects presented health issues; or (3) there were issues with the pregnancy, the delivery, and the postpartum course of the wife or child.
